In narrative films, there's a standard way in which u edit them

THESE ARE:

-Establishing shot
-Shot/reverse-shot
-Eyeline match (POV Shot) (POV means point of view)
-Re-establishing shot

There's also more spacial context such as:

The Kuleshov Effect
Match on action
Multiple camera techniques
Axis of action (180-degree line)
Cheat cut

All these are used in the editing of films.
