We contemplated which companies we should use. My initial idea was to have LIONSGATE and Twisted Pictures. This was because they created such films as Saw and Catacombs. However, after careful thinking, we decided that they wouldn't suit our film due to the fact that they specialise in thriller, torture porn movies, where as ours is a thriller, mystery film. After more research, i found the companies Brain Damage Films and Magnolia Pictures.
We chose to use these specific institutions for specific reasons. Brain Damage films, interlinked with Magnolia pictures, are the distributors of Angel dust. We decided to choose these two companies as, looking at the research of the previous films, their preference of film is very much similar to ours. All of their films are horror and thriller movies, so they know what works best in these types of films. They would be interested in our film due to its unusual story line but also, stalker/killer aspect of it. However, by having two production companies there are pro's and con's. A con being less money money income as it has to be shared between other companies. And a pro being more publicity.
